Studio Policies

Written plainly so everyone — students, members, and visitors — knows what to expect.

Class Cancellation Policy

Cancellations made at least 48 hours before the scheduled class are fully refundable. Cancellations made within 48 hours of class time can be transferred to a future session of equal value, but are non-refundable. Multi-week class series cannot be partially refunded once started.

Refund Policy

Refunds for online shop purchases are available within 14 days of pickup or delivery for unused, undamaged items. Custom and special-order pieces are final sale. Gift cards are non-refundable but never expire.

Late Arrival Policy

Class instruction begins on time. If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, we may not be able to catch you up safely, especially for wheel classes. We'll always try — but for everyone's sake, please plan to arrive a few minutes early.

Studio Safety Rules

Closed-toe shoes are required in the studio. Long hair should be tied back. Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult outside of scheduled kids' programs. No food at workstations. Please follow your instructor's guidance around equipment, kilns, and chemicals.

Membership Rules

Members agree to clean their workspace after each session, share equipment respectfully, and follow shelf and locker labeling. Membership access is for the named member only. Memberships may be paused for medical reasons with notice; please contact us to arrange.

Kiln Firing Disclaimer

Firing is unpredictable by nature. While we do everything we can to fire safely and beautifully, we cannot guarantee any individual piece will survive bisque or glaze firing. Cracks, glaze defects, and shelf adhesion can happen even with careful work. Re-firing is sometimes possible but not always.

Clay & Glaze Safety

All glazes used in the core studio collection are food-safe once properly fired. If you use experimental or premium glazes, please ask your instructor or a staff member whether they are appropriate for functional ware. Wash hands before eating and keep clay dust out of the air by wet-cleaning.

Pickup Policy for Finished Work

Finished pieces should be picked up within 60 days of being placed on the finished shelf. After 60 days we reserve the right to donate or recycle unclaimed work to make space for new students. We'll do our best to give you a heads-up first.
